Spring 2024 Newsletter

Spring is finally here, a very welcome relief after a grey and exceptionally wet winter! The landscape and gardening industry of course is particularly sensitive to climatic conditions but we will always find a way to soldier on and get the job done.

Recently completed

Our design and build coastal project in Devon is looking superb (well, we think so anyway). It’s been a technical challenge (even without the weather), installing approx. 60 tonnes of custom sawn Limestone blocks and setts. We’re very happy with the scheme, it’s turned a dull sloping lawn into a fully planted garden (to attract wildlife) with exceptional views and areas to sit and explore.

We’ve been doing a lot of planting recently including on our D&B project in the New Forest, Hampshire. We’re now sowing the lawn areas and wildflower mix in areas to connect the garden to the extended landscape. The new design has transformed the house, helping it sit in its unique setting, created some key destination points whilst organising the outside space to make it practical.

Design

Our in-house design team have been busy designing projects in Esher (Surrey), Wandsworth (South West London), Hampstead and West Dorset. We’re moving onto Stage 4 soon (Technical Design) and pricing up for install (Stage 5).

Construction

Our hand-picked, highly skilled construction teams build gardens for other top garden designers too.

The James Alexander Sinclair project in Berkshire is now complete. A fine design to go with a contemporary house surrounded by woodland.

We’re currently on site building a design for Emily Allen in Highgate where we’ve assisted with the technical design and value engineered the project to keep within budget. We’re up on a roof in Cannon Street, London and starting soon we have the installation of a commercial communal space for a design by Harris Bugg Studio. We’ll keep you posted on those.

Our site teams have been taking some great ‘in progress’ photos (in a bid to win the fun yet much coveted ‘photo of the month’ award), this is one of our favourites a green sedum roof to replace what was plastic grass above a gym, nice one Gus.

We have some professional shoots lined up for later in the year.

We have also developed a digital brochure explaining what we do with some examples of our work.
